Dr. Barbara Landau, President of Cooperative Solutions, is a Psychologist, Lawyer, Mediator & Trainer. She has successfully resolved many cases using a Collaborative model and co-authored two books, “The Family Mediation & Collaborative Practice Handbook” (4th ed), 2005 and “From Conflict to Creativity”, 2000. Barbara has taught courses on Collaborative Practice, Family Mediation, Negotiation and Family Arbitration for many years, in Canada and internationally.
Dr. Landau received the “Award for Excellence in Dispute Resolution” from the Ontario Bar Association (OBA), the Long Term Achievement Award (FAMMA) from Family Mediation Canada, and the “Distinguished Mediator Award” from the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR).
Her Collaborative Practice training programs are multi-disciplinary, designed for Lawyers, Mental Health professionals, Certified Divorce Specialists, Mediators and Accountants. A Certificate of Attendance, extensive materials and coaching in small groups are provided.
The course is divided into 2 Levels:
Level 1 (2 days) – theory and process training for those wishing to participate in Collaborative Practice
Level 2 (3 days) – the necessary skills and training to complete a Collaborative case and apply to the Collaborative Practice Toronto Roster
These courses are approved training for members of Collaborative Practice Toronto.
